Walking in the Dark...
There are many times in your life in which situations bring
unforgettable people.
How do you know it is a soul connection? I believe is a
natural emotion coming out of your inner self with indescribable comfort. Your
body feels a special connection coming from your gut telling you to move
forward and trust. This comfort is natural, warm and special. Not only you get
butterflies, the feeling electrifies all your body cells, your mind and just
takes over your true self.
It was my birthday, traveling in business with some partners
we decided to grab dinner and go out to enjoy the night in South Florida. I
wasn’t too excited to be out late since we had been in business meetings all
day for 2 days. I was coming out of 4 months of a lot of changes and my mind
wasn’t up to party. I knew it would be good for me to be out and meet people but
just didn’t feel ready.
I walked into this place with my business partner and the
music was pretty good but I just couldn’t get all my problems off my head. All
of the sudden, a handsome man tells me “Hey, put a smile on your face”. I
wanted to punch his face, but I smiled. That’s when I said for the 1st
time ever “My name is Aly” we had an immediate connection. We started talking
like we were friends for ever, it was unexpected. I knew my heart didn’t have a
smile; I was walking in life dead with no enthusiasm in my heart to do much.
It was an awesome feeling to connect with someone and have a
meaningful conversation. I felt happy not thinking about problems and just
talking to a stranger. He became very involved in my life, providing support,
encouragement and resources for me to move forward. Today, we share a unique
story, laughs and more memories to come.
You never know what’s around the corner for you. People walk
into your life at the right moment for the right reason. Sometimes we are not
prepared to handle situations alone, that’s why family, friends and new
connections are very important. Many opportunities come to us often; I believe
sometimes we are not in the same timeline to take advantage of them. Listen to
your heart, gut feeling; you know when it is the perfect time. Since then, I
celebrate the beginning of an extraordinary life because this particular
connection said “Go Aly” which gave me the necessary push to go to the next
level of success.

The Place to BE and BE seen….DE LA LUNA!
We are constantly moving in life trying to find ways to
improve ourselves, connect with people and live life every day. During a business meeting, I was given an
opportunity to host a weekly Latin night in Orlando, Florida.
Immediately, I knew that I had many ideas but
didn’t know where to begin. One thing I’ve learned about myself is that I have
a unique creative ability that helps me develop my dreams into real ideas and also
guides me with the creation of new businesses. As my
close friends know, I like to call them my super powers! J We all have our God-given talents that allow
us to be unique in who we are. This was
definitely a challenge that required that I use that instinct and inner power!
So I had just been given this amazing opportunity yet I had no
clear idea nor vision for this event. I
decided to first start by choosing a name for the event. Once I
had a name in mind, I knew from there the creative process would evolve and
everything would fall perfectly into place. I wanted the name to be sophisticated, elegant
and create a positive energy from GOALYGO.
On a Saturday night, I went to bed early. Tired from working long hours, my body needed
its rest. At around 1:00am, my creative
inner self could sleep no more and I was wide awake. I get
this surge of energy sometimes, especially when I have projects that I’m
working on or when I’m planning business trips. My mind was full of ideas,
flowing like a river through my head. I quickly grabbed my pen and paper and started
brainstorming trying to come up with a name for this event. After about two hours of writing down ideas
there was still no name.
Finally, at around 3:00am, I said to myself, “I’m Puerto
Rican. With this being a Latin event, I
need to find a place in Puerto Rico that has meaning.” Right away, I thought of a street in Puerto
Rico called Calle de la Luna, a well-known street in the San Juan
District, most historic place in Puerto Rico.
This made perfect sense because the venue for the Orlando event is
located on “Church” Street. The
connection was instantly made and solidified as soon as I said out loud “De La
Luna” and at that moment De La Luna was born!
De La Luna translated in English means “Of The Moon,” a
perfect name, because I connect with the moon every night! Throughout my life, I have met many incredible
people that have captured my heart in different ways and at different times. At
night, I always look to the moon to connect with them, when I miss them,
because I know that at that same moment, wherever they are, we all share the
same moon.
The moon is the brightest object in the sky after the sun. The moon gives light, light is energy, and
its energy influences the Earth. The
quiet of the night and coolness of the moon bring me feelings of joy, peace and
an awareness of a divine connection. I
can feel this divine connection present in every living thing in our planet. This powerful energy can touch, strengthen,
and inspire each of us. We are all
sources of energy, moving constantly from one place to another, but yet
connected under the same moon. Let us
inspire and strengthen each other as we all connect at De La Luna!

Welcome to my world!
There is no doubt that it can be hard to find the time to
devote to something like a blog. Having three businesses, this can be
challenging at times but, my heart feels it is important for me to share my experiences,
my ideas and to be an inspiration to you. I remember the day I turned 14 years
old. That night, I looked up at the stars
and the moon and said “One day, I’m going to have my own business.” I knew
at that moment, I was born to be a leader and to help others.
My real name is Yanira Nazario. I was born and raised in
Puerto Rico. My parents moved to Orlando, Florida after my father retired from
law enforcement. It was very difficult for
me to adjust since all my lifelong friends were no longer a part of my life. I only spoke Spanish, so because of the
language barrier, meeting new friends and finding my way in a foreign country
was challenging.
At 16 years old, I started my first job. With a lot of hope and dedication, I started
working at a restaurant in Universal Studios Orlando. Since I didn’t speak any English, all I was
able to do at the restaurant was take out the garbage. Lifting heavy garbage bags wasn’t easy but I
was willing to learn, gain experience and practice my English. It was
challenging to be a female teenager, that didn’t speak any English but after
two years of hard work and dedication, I was given a leadership position to
supervise the restaurant full-time. The saying is true “Hard work does pay off!”
I continued working at Universal Studios for many years
developing my professional career and working with incredible people. At 21 years old, I started my own part-time
business, learning from professionals and reading at the library to embrace all
opportunities. .
In my late 20’s I found myself with responsibilities. I was married, had a full-time job, my own
business and the economy was changing daily. At that point in my life I felt grown up but, I
still couldn’t figure out what I really wanted. Although I felt as though I had accomplished
much, the next few events in my life would prove to be challenging. I spent the next few years severely affected
by an unexpected divorce, a failing business and no hopes to dream again.
After a number of years of letting life run me over and
living in the past, I had enough. I finally
woke up one morning determined to dream again and change my life. That’s when I decided to change my name and
leave the past behind me. I had been
completing an application for a client and noticed my financial advisor ID
number of ALYB1. I said “Aly” out loud
and thought “That’s my new name!” For
one, I won’t be able to forget my ID number plus if I meet a new guy he is
going to have me as “number one” on his phone contact list. J
While connecting with different people in this world, I met
an incredible human being that gave me support and inspired me to go beyond
fears and personal abilities. Although I
was excited to start a new chapter in my life, I still had my moments of
frustration and feelings of discouragement.
I remember one particular morning my friend said to me “Go Aly!” I was immediately heart-broken because I
couldn’t GO. I didn’t have any
motivation, desire or energy to keep going but I knew I had to……GO! And that is when GOALYGO was born!
We all have those moments where we feel like giving up but
I’m excited to encourage and inspire you to GO to the next level of
success. You must GO and keep moving
forward even when there is no hope. You
must follow your heart and follow your dreams. Today, I have developed three successful
businesses and have expanded to the Caribbean markets. I’m back in the business world and loving it. Today, I want to share my story, my experiences
and life challenges with you. Welcome!
This is GOALYGO!
